Daffodils - Community
David Bell
himself was passionate about daffodils, and
was generous with his time, knowledge and product.
Having the responsibility of being "guardians"
of this collection, Stu and June McLachlan continue
to give to the community.
Annually,
David Bell Daffodils give up to 5000 bulbs to
groups for beautificaton projects around Canterbury.
Not-for-profit organisations may apply for community
bulbs before 31 March each year, either by writing
to: David Bell Dafodils, Bluetts Rd, R.D.3 Leeston;
or by Email: daffodils@xtra.co.nz

Daffodils are frequently available for individuals,
schools or sporting groups to pick and sell
their unique daffodils as fundraisers. In 2005,
such ventures helped toward exchange student
fees, a school camp and hosting the Leeston
School Garden Party which raised $3000 towards
adventure playground equipment.
The Cancer
Society benefit annually from the proceeds of
the collection bucket which is promoted at David
Bell Daffodils. They also receive community
bulbs for various fundraisers. |
